keep your head up.

Sweater- Thrifted. Shirt- Thrifted Ann Taylor. Jeans- Gap. Shoes- Thrifted Ferragamo. Jewelry- All over da placeeeee.

This sweater is one of my favourite new items that I got last weekend. People at school told me it looked like many different things... my personal favourite was that i looked like "a mexican peasant". Not sure if it was a compliment or not. I wore it to school yesterday as the weather has started to get cold and I even wore it to yoga tonight and did a few down-ward dogs in it before the huge sleeves and excess material started to bother me when I was upside down. The colours remind me so much of fall and I want to curl up in it with a good book by the fire.

also the lovely Jennifer wrote a little blog post about Sidewalks Are Runways, check it out here.
Thanks girl!

But no matter how hard it gets my mama always says to keep your head up
Your head up, your head up, your head up up
No matter what
Your head up, your head up, your head up up up up up
- Keep Your Head Up by Girls Can't Catch

This song is my current obsession. It was the last song on the City last night...when Olivia is walking away from the Today show segment after being totally dismissed by that other girl from Elle. The City is going to be sooooo good this season. I can totally feel it. I love Olivia. I love Whitney. I love New York City. So pretty much its the perfect show.

The weekend always goes by wayyyyyy to quickly, I can't believe its almost time for another school week to begin. ugh. the first set of pictures is from what I wore Friday night for some thrifting, dinner, and a movie with a friend. i saw fame and it was so amazing. my friend and i waited until everyone had left the cinema and then we danced around to the closing credits. it was probably the highlight of my weekend.

I also got the blue beaded bracelet i am wearing here and another bracelet. woot. saturday night was homecoming round two. pictures to come. my plan for tonight = 4 mile walk with my mum and then catch up on milan fashion week.

hey mama welcome to the sixties

style.com

I screamed with delight when I first saw this collection aka the Moschino Cheap and Chic s/s collection on style.com a couple of minutes ago. It is all I could have wanted to see on my laptop screen and so much more on this dark, cold, miserable {lost my tennis match} night. The colours pop out of my computer and almost force me to forget about every other colour ever invented and just wear black/white/pink for the rest of my life.
That actually doesnt seem like a bad idea seeing as this collection shows us how many different ways these three colours can be worn. style.com said that this "collection took its inspiration from that era in the sixties when the mods were mixing with the flower children." Not a bad combination if you ask me.

Wishlist thanks to this eye-orgasm collection:
  • Short short dresses.
  • Long ankle-grazing dresses.
  • Hugeeeee hat that covers my whole head.
  • A bag that reads "Shocking" on it.
  • Little pink accessories for the finishing touch.
  • A standout dress that looks like the colours of the rainbow vomited on it.
  • Pink, pink, pink.

Volare

Tank Top-Silence and Noise. Bra-Marshalls. Pants-Thrifted. Shoes-Forever 21.

Had a really successful garage sale today. I had more than 250 items of clothing/shoes/accessories for sale! Kinda ridiculous. We sold a lot but still have a lot more to sell, so we are continuing the sale next weekend for those of you who live in the Cleveland area. For those of you not in the Cleveland area, donttt worry you can still buy all my clothes from me {hahaha} from my online store. Click here.

These pants are my new obsession. found them in a thrift store a couple of weekends ago and they are so silky and comfortable yet really well tailored. Its getting colder and colder as the days go on, so I am pretty sure no more just tank tops for me. Bring on my newww tartan blazers. Thats what I'm talking bout.

Also check out the interview I did with the wonderful Hilary from Cake Not Coke hereeeee.

SRR Style: Becka Diamond

I first came across Becka Diamond's style on Altamira . I instantly fell in love with her perfect rocker chick look and googled her to find out more about her. She is an actress, who is best friends with the gorgeous Dree Hemmingway. She was featured as an It girl on vogue.com, her birthday party was also featured on vogue.com,  she has also been featured on style.com's front-row faces. Here is a youtube video of her and Dree on New Year.

Everything about her outfits are perfect, from the ankle-zip Balmain jeans to the gorgeous fringe leather bag she carries around. I am going to start doing SRR style posts, which stands for Sidewalks Are Runways style. I thought she would be the perfect girl to kick off this section of the blog because obviously she makes the streets of New York her personal runway and so far she seems to be very successful at it.

alsoo you can follow her on twitter.
Let her know you got her twitter from me!

Summer Dress Round 2

Dress- Random store in Soho. Shoes- Chinese Laundry. Bag- Betsey Johnson. Scarf- Got in a trade with a friend.

The weather is still gorgeous....so still whipping out the summer dresses. People always seem to think this is a shirt and a skirt but its actually a dress. Quite sneaky. I love the vibrant coraly orangey colour of the top combined with the white skirt. These shoes have been faithful friends of mine all summer and I will continue to wear them to death until the first snow falls...and then it is straight to boots.
Jill Stuart has totally been my favourite show so far.... I will get around to posting my favourite looks sometime soon aka when ap classes arent consuming my brain.

Also the lovely people over at Pond's sent me some of their Towelettes and they have worked so well on my skin. Click here for more information.
